DD had blood in her poo again

I knew something was going on, since she hasnt been able to go to sleep this week. She has been super overstimulated and not able to fall asleep, but exhausted and soooooooo tired at the same time. And she has been running a fever the last couple of days.

What now?

I'm sorry! Have you been keeping a food journal? Any changes? Even a different brand or kind of something? New supps? Frequency of bowel movements? Maybe it is just irritation associated with some virus she has?

How long has she been blood free? If it hasn't been all that long a little irritation (like from increased mucous from a cold) could bring it back. But if you've been blood free for awhile (like a month or more) then I would be more suspicious of a food.

The past 3 or 4 times dd has gotten a cold I have been absolutely convinced she was reacting to something based on her mood, sleep, and poops. It drives me nuts because I can never find an exposure to one of her known triggers so I'm always thinking there's something else out there she's reacting to. I finally came to the conclusion that maybe it is just the cold, even though the symptoms are nearly identical to a food reaction. Any chance its that for you guys?

No food journal, i need to keep one but i just get overwhelmed. There have been quite a few changes, she had a hotdog for the first time yesterday. And my mother gave ehr chicken nuggets from McDonalds.(TMI allert LOL) And she has been acting constipated but has had loose stools, mixed with harder pellet like pieces.

She has been blood free for like 3 months now! Its the first time she has gone longer than 3 weeks.

It could be the virus i guess maybe. I dont really know. The only thing that would keep me from thinking its food related is that she hasnt been waking up at night like she used to. Well at least not the last 3 nights. Now the 2 nights before that she was, but would that cause bleeding now?

I'd definitely suspect foods. Pretty much any prepared food, especially fast food is going to be FULL of allergens. They just don't make "clean" food like you would at home. Even most grocery store hot dogs contain corn syrup and soy protein.
