This is a great article. I am glad that there are moms out there fighting for their children's right to be in school unvaccinated.

Good for her. She had a doctor recommend her daughter not be vaccinated. Who the he** is this "health officer" to just ignore that??

I hope this lawsuit makes religious and philosophical exemptions legal in WV.

I get so tired of hearing this parroted by hcp's.

sigh. See? Medical exemptions are worthless.

Along with MS, WV has the nation's most draconian vax laws. I hope that this suite represents and important step toward reform. Good for this courageous woman!

Ummm...more like dark ages. And how can anyone believe in personal liberty and a "right" side?

I was just coming to put a link to this article.
Sigh. I wish that West Virginians (& those in Mississippi) had a choice as to what chemicals to put into our children.
I am so torn as to whether or not to put my dd into preschool this fall or not. She did have a few vaxes and her older brothers have been fully vaxed because I was flat-out lied to by our former pediatrician. My youngest ds was vaxed against my full consent by this same doctor. That's why he's our former ped!!

Sorry, this subject just makes me want to cry being stuck in such a back assward state when it comes to parental rights.
Please send all of the good vibes that you can that something changes quickly!!

I would move! No way I'd live in WV or MS!

I applaud this woman for her bravery. Homeschooling is an option for people in these states too.

I know some states require vaccination records even for homeschooled kids..are either WV or MS among them?

Good question, I wasn't aware of that.
