Does anyone know or have a list of vaccines that they like to give to newborns in the hospital? DH and I want to do some research on them. Thanks!

As far as I know they only give the hepatitis B vaccine shortly after birth.

The only vaccine they give at birth is the first dose of Hep B.

Well, its not a vaccine, but they also do Vitamin K. We plan on doing the oral version since the injection dosage is too high for a newborn, and it can be linked to jaundice. All 3 of my kids AND my surrogate daughter all had the Vit K and all had jaundice.

But besides that, its Hep B w/in 24 hrs of birth, unless instructed not to do so.

While you're looking, you might also want to read up on the eye goop.

Here's a link on vitamin k.
