Cloth Diaper Registry

ok experienced cd mamas......this is my first. i have researched and made lists of things you ladies say in posts! but here is my big question.

if you were making your cloth diaper registry ( i am going to register at jillian's drawers i think) what would you put on it and how many. i realize i won't know what baby likes and what will work til baby gets here, but that aside...what you register for. ... have at it!:

For a newborn, I'd register for the following at Jillians:

4 Kissaluv fitteds
4 Thirsties fab fitteds
4 BG OS
4 Bummis super brite covers (these are thicker than the thirsties, so they work great for overnight and long naps)
4 Thirsties covers (less bulky, great for daily use)
2 packs bumGenious doublers (you'll figure out when to use them!)
1 WAHMies wet bags
1 pail liner
20 cloth wipes

If it was ME, that's the stash I'd want for my newborn!

Good luck! I hope you get lots of diapers at your shower!

I would go a different route with a higher diaper-to-cover ratio. I found 5-6 covers to be plenty and would think 8 covers for 8 diapers to be overkill. I would shoot for at least 36 newborn diapers. So maybe this instead:

24 KLs size 0
24 infant prefolds (since these can be used longer and then as doublers)
3 hemp doublers
5 nb covers (3 Thirsties and 3 superbrite would be great)
6 size small covers
2 Bummis wet bags size L or XL
1 Planetwise or other zippered, small wet bag for diaperbag
24 wipes (although wash clothes work fine)

If I could do over what I registered for this is what I would do
-12 KL0's
-6 KL1's (started to fit my DD at 8lbs)
-2 doz ub nb prefolds (can use as doublers later)
-2 doz ub infant pf's
-3 snappis
-2 or 3 xs thirsties
-2 nb imse vimse
-2 s thirsties
-2 s imse vimse
-6 BGOS
-3 xs thirsties aio pockets (for night time)
-3 happy heiny stuffins (or some other kind of hemp insert for the th aio's)
-3 dozen wipes
-HH wipe solution
-2 medium wet bags

1 Diaper Pail Liner - you might want 2 so you have somewhere to put diapers while you are washing the first
4 Kissluv's Fitteds 0
4 Kissluv's Fitteds 1
4 BumGenius AIO Small
4 Bumgenis AIO Med
4 Bumgenius AIO Large
3 BumGenius Bamboo Small
4 Bamboozle Fitted Small
4 Imse Vimse AIO Small
4 Imse Vimse AIO Med
2 Bummis SWW newborn - you only have 2 covers for 26 or so newborn diapers. Even using fitteds, I think you would be safer with at least 1-2 more covers in each size.
2 Bumms SWW small
4 Thirsties Fab Fitted Small
4 Thirsties Fab Fitted XSmall
3 Snappis
10 Indian Prefolds Infant
6 Indian Prefolds Toddler
2 Wipes sampler packs
2 three packs of BumGenius doublers
12 Kissluvs Doublers - I'm not sure you need this many doublers. Likely, you will only need them at naps, night or unless you have a very heavy wetter. Otherwise, during the day you will probably just use a diaper.
some flushable liners
