How do I pick out a carrier

My DD is 9 weeks old and weighs about 115lbs. I'm 5ft3 115lbs and very busty. I've tried a pouch, sling, and ring sling. My DD and I didn't enjoy any of those. They were very difficult for me to use and find a good fit. After spending hours and hours looking at carriers I really like the style of the mei tai. There are so many brands I'm not sure what to go with. Baby Hawk, Mei Tai hands free, Beco, ERGO, not to mention all the smaller named brands people have talked about on here. Any input would be great!! I going to a local retailer that carries Beco so I can try it on. HOwever, I doubt I will be able to buy it anytime soon cause they want $165 for it.

Sounds like a MT would be a good fit for you, a Babyhawk is a great MT! Its cute and pretty comfy. You can search the FSOT boards and find one for pretty cheap ($30-60).

A beco and an Ergo are not MTs, they are SSCs (soft structured carriers) they have bucles and no straps, so it makes getting them on and off pretty simple. Where the MTs have straps that you have to tie.

You can also get a Beco or Ergo on FSOT forums much cheaper. I think there was a used one recently for like $90.

Also Angelpacks are great carriers, Here is one for $68. Its alot like the Beco, just not as complicated, and much more comfy IMO.

Can you tell me where there are some good FSOT boards?
I know you can wear your baby tummy to tummy with a MT but can you wear them looking out at the world as well?
