Hi,

My 10 year old child and I are going to be in Xela this summer for 2 1/2 months part of June, July, and August). We have tickets and a place to live (an exciting adventure for us!).

Does anyone have any sage words of advice - Is it O.K. not to be vaccinated? Is there anything I should know health wise or bring?

What about child friendly activities? If I am lucky enough to find work teaching English (I have experience), what can my son be doing or where can he be playing while I work?

Any advice on children learning Spanish (I am fluent, but he does not speak it - nor do I anticipate having money for a language school)? Can he continue violin lessons there - are there any teachers that you'd recommend (that really emphasize the basics)?

Is there a way to meet and befriend other Moms/families? Or just meet people in general?

Is there any other advice you might have?

Thank you in advance for any words of sagacity and experience.

Kira
