What kind of dipes do I want?

I know everyone has their preferences and it is going to vary widely, but I'd love some input to get me started. I don't have as much free time as I would like (who does!) so researching dipes is taking a back seat to other things.

I know the biggies that are important to me, I just don't know the best fit to match me. Wanna help?

*I do not want velcro. Snaps or pins/snappis are equally fine.

*They need to be organic.

*Based on my experience with mama cloth, I don't want AIO's. (IME it is very difficult to get the insides totally dry, and I suspect dipes would be the same way - we dry on no/low heat.) My AI2's and prefold equivalent mama cloth dries so easily. And I feel confident that they are cleaner. I don't know what I want instead though... AI2's, prefolds, fitteds...?

*Do I want one size or different sizes?

*I'm interested in trying wool, but I obviously don't want that to be everything. What goes best with wool?

*Money is not a huge factor, but durability is, I want these to last through more than one kid, and if not one size, I want them to at least last for a while for each kid.

Soooo... got some recommendations for me? THANKS!

I think prefolds are the most durable followed by fitteds. I love Indian prefolds under wool - I love naturalbluecloud's (etsy) snap organic wool covers!

she'll make what ever size you need and has soakers and diapers as well.
Dream Ez makes a nice organic fitted as does Swaddlebees
(nickisdiapers.com) but you never know what fits best - prefolds take the guess work out of it plus dry super fast and clean super swell! Pockets are a pain to stuff IMO

Clothdiaper.com sells organic prefolds. I haven't tried their organic stuff but their regular stuff is good. If you want all-organic everything, you'll need wool covers. Fitteds go well with wool. Mother-ease makes an organic cotton one-size fitted that is nice. I wouldn't go with the Sandy's if I were you because they take a long time to dry. Blue Penguin has good stuff too and is a great company to work with.

prefolds or fitted's under wool.
snappi or pins -- I choose pins, easy pease once the routine is down. They are cheap, buy both and figure it out along the way.

Bamboo, Hemp, Organic Cotton Fleeces or French Terry's are good choices for organics.
Hemp is environmentally superior for a few reasons from growing, resources needed to make it to harvest and what it takes from the land. It also has natural oils that are healing and good for the skin. Bamboo is going to be your hot selection for organics and as much as I like it too -- my vote goes to hemp. Bamboo farmers are aggressive and destructive to the lands as they harvest and the fiber takes a lot more chemicals to reach a processing point than the hemp.

I would split it up a bit, try it all out. What you think you will love may turn out to be least of your favorite pieces and visa-versa. Baby is also going to determine exactly what is going to fit the best. Babies are all different sizes, shapes and absorbency needs. Be open to amending as you go.

All in one pads and all in one diapers are different in my opinion.

Good Luck!

You should definitely try Mother Ease diapers! They have snaps, come in organic cotton, are one size, and are super durable and affordable. I've been using a variety of pockets (BG and Fuzzi bunz mostly) but once I got some mother ease I wish all my stash was these. Love em!

I started out with pockets then went to AIO's and finally decided I liked covers and fitteds. ME are awesome and I don't know if PeeWell's are still around but those were my favorite fitteds.
