Has your LO ever pooped in a swim diaper?

I see so many posts about swim diapers where people say "I love my *insert swim diaper brand here* But my LO has never pooped in it."

So, if your LO has ever actually pooped in a swim diaper, what kind do you have and how well did it contain it? I need to order DD's soon.

I've never actually heard first hand from anyone that their child pooped in the pool while wearing a swim diaper. It must not be that common. I think the swim diaper is extra insurance just in case it ever happens. If your LO is naked there is a higher chance of an accident IMHO.

Well, count me as one of the unfortunate ones that has had to clean a poopy swim diaper. The only brand we've ever used has been the Target ones. They've contained BFed poop when DS1 was a baby and they contained toddler really loose poop when DD1 was about 18mo. No leaks

DS took swim lessons at Emler when he was 18 mo old and I was not CDing at the time, and they have some rule there that you can't use the sposie swim diaper, so whatever they sold there is what I have. Sure enough, my son would poop EVERY time we had a lesson. Yes, truly. I have changed MANY a swim poop diaper and it sucks!!! The poop gets wet and turns into mush and sticks to every crevace of my son's bottom. gross!! At least it wasn't in the pool, though LOL. I had to go armed with A LOT of wipes just to get him clean enough to get home. What I really needed was a hose!

It is disgusting when it happens...

I love my Kushies Swim Diaper ($9.99 @ babies'r'us). It has survived two kids and contained a few poops (in other words all the poops my kids have had while swimming. I also have the Imse Vimse, but DS never pooped in it...

We swam with ds last summer as a newborn and little baby (he was born in June... swam until around September) He pooped in both his imse vimse and his target swim diapers. Target one absorbed some, but since it's pull on, was icky to get off.

It's been awhile, but--
My dd pooped a couple of times in her flap happy swim diaper (part of a swimsuit), and it contained it beautifully.

My kids never miss the opportunity to poop when it's inconvenient, so we've had lots of poopy swim diapers. I've never had a leak. We use the target ones (pain to change, but they work) and sometimes I just use an old pocket. They work equally well.

As a matter of fact DD pooped in her swim diaper yesterday, lol. It was an Imse Vimse diaper and it held in the poo great. Also the side snaps made it pretty easy to get off.
