cloth alternative to *pull ups* for night

Ds is fully toileting in the day except for the occassional toddler accident. However, night time is another issue. He is for the most part *dry* in the mornings. But there are times when he wakes before I do and wets his diaper (we use a disposable at night) either because he lingers in bed awake and cant hold it or he *forgets* he needs to make that morning pit stop. I would like to get away from disposable and use a nice cloth alternative. We used prefolds (which have since be repurposed into cleaning cloths so that is no longer an option. I have a sample of the motherease but he nol longer fits into them. I CAN NOT just use a training under with a cover.....bad news, already tried. plus we bought brand new mattresses for us and can not bear to ruin a $1000 organic mattresses (although I do have coverings over it I dont want to *test* them if possible. Plus I dont want to change my sheets in the middle of the night

So I guess Im looking for a nice *thick* alternative to a disposable pull up. Any suggestions? DS wears about a 4t so it needs to run slightly larger.

Happy Heiny's makes a pocket trainer. You can add an extra insert for more absorbency if you need it.

Yes! I second this, my daughter is 3 years old (40lbs 41" tall), she wears a medium and I use two inserts. She is dry most of the time but still needs a pull-up for overnights, no leaks with this pull-up it's wonderful.

My DS is the same size as your DD. I've been looking for an alternative, too, to sposie pull ups. DS is a heavy sleeper and I think that is why he doesn't get up in the middle of the night to go pee. He does go before bed and when he wakes up and he's fully potty trained during the day including going poop on the potty.

My dd is also fully potty-trained except for night-times, we're generally okay for naptimes because she doesn't sleep as hard. The nights are touch and go though, some nights she wakes up around 10 or 11, and others she sleeps soundly all the way through.

I was tired of the sposie pull-ups and footing the cost for them, I'm not going to push her to stay dry all night yet, and I don't want to wake her at night.. Going cloth for night-time seemed like the best alternative.

we use Happy Heiny's trainers for our son (3 yo, 40 pounds) and we havne't had a leak yet. We use a hemp and microfiber liner.

He's in a size medium...

Snap-EZ has some absorbent trainers. We have a few pairs and LOVE THEM! DD is dry at night, for the most part, but they are our travel undies.... long car trips, plane trips, etc. bc they absorb so much and fit DD very well.

A Mother-ease Toddle-ease diaper under Dappi nylon pull-on pants has never failed us.
