I got that with ds1. Turned out not to be my period after all. Some women just bleed a bit around 6 weeks pp and don't get real periods or fertility for months yet. There's hope! Nak

Happened to me w ds. ugh. I too was bfing, co-sleeping, etc. I was so jealous of my friends who went 18 more mos w/out it! I'm not too hopeful this time but who knows...

nak

ooooooo! you've given me hope!

I slapped on a pad earlier, but I definitely don't feel much of a flow.

off to the bathroom to check the situation down there.

I haven't felt any cramps or anything, so I thought things were a little weird...

: no unwelcome guest...go away af!

I'm still having pp bleeding (occasional light pink stuff) at almost 5 weeks pp. And still sore. DH has this idea in his head b/c I said "about 6 weeks." hope he's not too disappointed. I just can't see myself dtd in a week. ouch.

so I'm thinking....

I had my 6 week pp checkup on monday.

My midwife did an internal check... felt around to my ovaries, checked out my uterus (and let me know it was retroverted... never knew that!) and said everything looked great (including my cervix).

It seems to me that all that poking around could be the cause for the bleeding. Because it's still quite light and tapering off - not getting heavier like a normal flow.

Or it's just wishful thinking!

Mine has come back with my past two pregnancies right around two or three months! It suuuuuucks. There's something very wrong about dealing with a newborn and sleep deprivation and getting your period. And yes, we nurse constantly, co-sleep, etc... Same thing apparently happened to my sister. I shudder to think of how many children I would have had before birth control. Scary.

Hope I'm not ruining anyone's wishful thinking, but...

With DD1 I bled for about 3 weeks before it turned brownish. Then all of a sudden it was bright red. Yep, AF was back and regular from that point on. I was exclusively breastfeeding too. I'm not getting my hopes up this time.

Hoping this is the case for you!!!! I'm praying for not having my return for a while this time, I think after all I've gone through this pregnancy that I deserve not to have it!!! Last time I was on demand nursing and cosleeping with bassinet but still got it 6 weeks pp. Now I"m nursing the same but cosleeping in the bed...so we shall see!

okay... bleeding has stopped. Hoping this was all just a result of my exam.

this happened to me after ds1. I suspect I was over doing it and bleeding began again. No actual AF until 1 yr pp.
