BPA ban proposed:
Quote:
Legislation introduced in March seeks to ban the use of bisphenol A (BPA) in food and beverage containers and items used by young children.
Quote:
Although the science is not conclusive, "[e]vidence is mounting that exposure to [BPA] is dangerous for developing children," stated Sen Dianne Feinstein (D, Calif), who submitted the Ban Poisonous Additives Act of 2009 (S 593 and HR 1523 [http://thomas.loc.gov]). "Americans should not be used as guinea pigs by chemical companies while we wait, potentially for several years, for more scientific evidence to show this chemical is harmful to our health,"
Source: JAMA. 2009;301(18):1868.

So let me get this striaght. There is nothing "conclusive" to say that BPA is bad for us (just like there is nothing "conslusive" about vaccines being harmful. There is legislature to ban BPA because of it's POTENTIALLY harmful effects to young children and children should not be used as guinea pigs by chemical companies. Yet the same thinking does not apply to a vaccine that has NOT been PROVEN to be safe??? Why should the thinking be any different about vaccines? makes NO sense to me!

Wait a minute Marnica. You're not a doctor are you?! You didn't go to medical school, did you?! Well, then how can you ask such reasonable, logical questions and expect answers?

Don't you know that that kind of specialized, analytical thinking is only for the medical/pharmaceutical/FDA/CDC establishment? If you come up with good questions, you're still an amateur. An amateur that frequents the internet no less. (!) If they come up with no questions, they have not found evidence of anything wrong--see? There are no conclusive studies, haven't you heard?!

Go on your merry way. Nothing to see here. Don't worry your pretty little head. Keep going. :

This bears repeating. How dare any uneducated, non professional woman think she can make a decision about vaccines, birth choices, etc. Leave this to the qualified men, let us save you from yourself.

Sorry, couldn't help myself. Sometimes the steams gotta be let off, lest one explodes.

Pretty much. As far as everyone is concerned, vaccines are saving lives. BPA in plastics are not.
