Me and My test results--- high methyl donors and low histamine

My recent test reults show
histamine 43 normal range(20-200) Low
Ammonia 51 (19-87)
B6 >100 (2.0-32)really high
Taurine 98.5 (34-145)
Folic acid >24 normal >5.4
B12 834 (211-911)
Homocysteine 4.8 (0-15)

In my opinion since my folic acid,B12 is high and homocysteine is low it means my methylation is working but Histamine is too low, Taurine is also low considering I was supplementing with 500 mg at the time of testing, and B6 is very high. High B6 and low Taurine points to the problems in CDO, primary regulating enzyme of cysteine, which requires iron and histidine for proper functioning. My iron levels are normal with Ferritin 47 so that leaves with low histamine being the problem. I am wondering how to raise histamine? I am familiar with two approaches
1. Add methyl groups but since my values are pretty high don't see that as an option.
2. Supplement L-histidine amino acid. Not familiar with this approach.

Any suggestions on how to deal with low histamine, since it is so important for digestion. Sure, I feel my digestion is under lot of stress.

One thing I know is that fermented foods raise histamine.

I saw this yesterday, but I think you know more about this than I do, so I was hesitant to respond.

My first thought--your folic acid is really high. Do you think you're changing it into folate?

I _thought_ whoMe had blood results that had low homocysteine, but it was just the combo of MTHFR genes she had (one of each of the variants). I don't completely understand the homocysteine issue.

I think ferritin of 47 is low, maybe not critical yet (I don't know exactly what level it would start to be a problem at), but in Mar08 when my ferritin was 71, my doc wanted me to supp.

Are you supping a lot of B6? I know B6 works with zinc, are you taking zinc?

As a short-term measure, eating something like kimchee with your meals could help you feel better, but that sounds like a short-term stopgap.

Thanks for your feedback, so glad to hear from someone. Yeah, I guess the only reason for such high folic acid would be conversion problem.

Only reason you didn't get more responses is the difficulty of your question. Easy questions about ear infections get lots of answers, hard questions about biochem scare people off.

I wish I knew a yahoo group that was small enough to discuss stuff like this. I couldn't even keep up with frequent-dose-chelation, and autism-mercury was just way too busy, I had to stop getting daily digests from both. It's just too large a group of people, but here we hit the other end of the problem, not enough people with similar needs/backgrounds to get really, really deep into this. And we need some experts! Maybe whoMe can start studying faster.
