help--she's almost one!! not getting anywhere!

I've been silent for awhile (since I'm doing a gluten trial on myself and don't want to feel any more guilty than I aleady do

DD is 12 months in 2 weeks---no dairy or soy for her--I'm worried about fat content--she's having growing problems anyways (still eats all the time and I'm thinking my milk isn't enough for her- blasphemy I know) ---so it's been a LONG road for us introducing solids...she eats avacados, strawberries, pears, sweet potatoes, carrots.

yea--we're moving slowly--so we are staying at my SIL's house (in the basement with a LOT a LOT of dust-) so as you imagine my kids' allergies are all over the place.

the day before we got here I gave DD straight coconut oil and she liked it---
have been doing that ehre and there---I realized today she's had a runny nose and is very wheezy (however has been around cousins who are very cold sick) - maybe this is a reaction?!!- I guess only time will tell.

also---did a boo bo--let me tell you about yesterday and today--

last night--trialed black beans --loved them--
this morning a couple came out (pretty whole--I'm sure you can imagine) and she had a little bit of irritation on bum (bumpy yeast--barely?!!) --however my SIL also gave her puffed rice yesterday---soohmm.

then today I gave her for lunch a couple more black beans to "make sure" and she had more puffed rice as well as I steamed the pear for the first time! (usually has it raw--I know I know)---she also had steamed carrots--(for lunch)
so---she has a clear reaction of a couple distinct red dots on her side chin after eating and has had the slapped cheek look all day.
20 min after eating lunch---he diapers had what looked like only carrots (not whole--broken down- but all orange, etc)- SOOO I'm wondering what is going on---she did NOT have carrots yesterday so did they go straight through her? (or would they have been from a couple days ago?--that would seem strange since the beans from last night already came through this morning)

I don't want to start over- my current goal is to nurse 15 months(meaning be done in 3 1/2 months) and I really gotta get going with introducing her foods! since there's no way I will stop nursing if I don't feel good about what she's eating but I really gotta figure out my stuff too (numb hands and feet at night, etc)

anything I'm missing? besides the fact that I really really stink at introducing foods to an allergic baby?

I read the links on the sticky---so do I try and hurry and catch up to introduce all the foods on those charts to her age? (12 months in 2 weeks)--
is it best to introduce them in that order? or since she's now 12 months can I pick any off the list or should I for sure trial the first ones before the second, etc?! TIA

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't you get enterolabs testing recently? Was that for you or your child? I think gluten is a good suspect. Have you seen these studies - it passes through breastmilk:

The dust sounds like it could be contributing to an 'overflowing' bucket type thing. Have you heard that analogy?

Beans can come through whole even with babies with better digestion - I'd puree them if you want her to get benefits.

I would trial things beginning with the easier ones to digest and then move up the chart. I'd probably also re-evaluate my goal of weaning, and see if you can work on 'your stuff' while taking care of your baby. Sounds like you're in a kinda stressful situation right now. Good luck!

What is she drinking besides breastmilk? I would work on getting fat into her because it's a dense source of calories. For me, that would mean trialing some oils, mixed with whatever she'll eat. I put oil nearly all food I give to my ds (he isn't nursing nearly as much any more; he is so distracted during the day that he'll only nurse at night at nap time). Can you intro some ground meat? Does she have a safe grain? I'd try to figure out coconut, because if it's safe, you'd have a fatty yogurt or milk to give her, which would be nice. Good luck!

the enterolab was for my son---we came back with a double gene and I am getting tested (I am on week 4 of 6 eating gluten) however I've never noticed a difference in my BF dd when I was on or off gluten---I had gluten for first-4 months of life---then was off for a whole 5 months (in which time I think there was significant healing in ME) and now I've been on it for a couple weeks and will be done and off it again in 2 weeks. (I know--nobody judge me--this is the path I feel is what is best for me and my family!)
I had not given my DD any grain until two days ago puffed rice--since I was waiting until a year-- is the plan to now introduce it and look for signs of celiac? I'm not sure about that one---also I have a problem--I really don't want to give her meat--I do not think that a lot of meat is a healthy thing (the opposite of most people here) if she is getting beans she should be better off right?!! also should I think about trialing the non-glutonous grains? ( rice later, millet, etc?!!)

---------should I pull the pear? I did a week trial awhile back and was always giving her raw pears...is there a chance the steamed pear was the reaction or do you think I'm safe to keep giving her those? thanks everyone!

my son is strictly off gluten, dairy, egg, soy! and doing well (except for the "accidents" that he seems to grab every couple week and now the dust.

I have been trialing the pure coconut oil for DD is that okay? is the canned milk problematic since it has guar gum?!
