My birth at Special Beginnings was the most positive experience of my life. I had some complications- water breaking 3 days before ctx with light meconium, but it was treated with...
My mom gave me this for Christmas and I absolutely love it. Gorgeous illustrations and very sweet ideas inside. Plus it's just structured enough so that I can be creative about what I include...
This is the prettiest carrier, and fit my shoulders and figure (at 5'6") much better than the Ergo. I got it when my daughter was about nine months, two years ago - it doesn't appear to have...
This potty is great - excellent value & performance! (plus it's cute!) My 9 month old DS took to it right away. He is a big boy (30 in. tall - feet not quite on floor - & 27 lbs.) and this is...
I had c-section on april 29th and I'm longing to take a bath but I couldn't remember how long my DR told me. I googled around.. some said 2 weeks but some also said 6 weeks. ACK!
with my first csec in 1994 i was told to never let the incision site get wet, not one drop. they had a plastic sheeting/tape thingie rigged to keep it dry.
second csec in 2002? i was told to get it wet and soap it up every day right from the 1st pp shower int he hospital.
go with your gut...how clean/sanitary is your tub? just make sure the area is thoroughly cleaned and then go ahead and use a blow dryer on low if you want to be sure you are totally dry. i had to blow dry or else i would get yeasty LOL
I bathe as soon as the incision is closed (I get dh to check). With ds2, that was almost two months, due to a skin infection. With ds1...can't remember, but I think it was about two weeks. I don't remember with the others.
I just went thru this 5 weeks ago! I was just about to pick up the phone to call my OB's nurse to ask her - when I checked my discharge papers and it mentioned taking a bath; no mention of a timeline! HTH!
But be sure to dry it very, very good afterwards! I would either roll up/fold a face towel and tuck it there, or even toilet paper. Enjoy your bath!
I took a shower in the hospital 2 days after I had my c/s. But I also had dissolvable sticthes with steri-strips on top of that. I was never told not to take a shower. I cant imagine not taking a shower for 2 weeks let alone 6! Eeek!

showers are fine; it's the tub bath (and swimming and dips in the hot tub) that's often restricted.
