grubs and broccoli eating bugs?

how do i get rid of these without making everything toxic?

something dug up this random place in my front yard and the only thing i have come up with is grubs....also my baby broccoli is staring to look like swiss cheese

try wood ashes sprinkled on your broccoli, use like you would a chemical powder, when the rain washes it off sprinkle more on.

The ashes should work, and for extra protection try using a tin tuna can (unwashed) with some beer. Just set it out there, the little slugs will try to drink it and fall in and drown.
