In case there was anyone out there that doubts that vaccines and the policies concerning them here have nothing to do with how lucrative a business they are and are merely created for the good of our children

Whaaa? You mean they don't give life-saving vaccines away out of the goodness of their hearts?

Well, in that case, I'm sure they use the profits for a good cause. Maybe they feed the poor and hungry?

hmmm just tried it and it seems ok??

try going to prlog.org and putting "The Worldwide Market for Vaccines to reach US$50.7 billion in 2013, forecasts New Report" in the search box

This is the headline: The Worldwide Market for Vaccines to reach US$50.7 billion in 2013, forecasts New Report

I don't think anyone would deny that pharmaceutical companies make money producing and selling vaccines. However, there isn't much, if any, financial incentive for individual doctors to push vaccines (since peds have to report their vax %, they can have other pressures/reasons for encouraging patients to be vaccinated).

thanks... it kept taking me to the roadrunner "we can't find this site but try one of these" page when I used your link.

I disagree. practices are often compensated financially when they reach a certain % of of their patients that are vaxed per cdc schedule.

Do you have a link with this information? I know about all of the secondary kick-backs, everything from pens and clocks to wining and dining the doctors. But I hadn't heard this...

True, but dr's won't risk getting sued by going against the cdc and who funds the cdc? The cdc won't even name how much they get from vaccine manufacturers, but it's a lot. Huge conficts of interest there. Plus what you mentioned about the percentage pressures.

Drug manufacturers are writing their own peer reviewed journals, colleges are allowing people who work for or own stock in drug companies to teach classes to future doctors and drug companies are writing textbooks! Doctors can be victims here just as much as anyone.

Its called Pay-For-Performace, which rewards physicians for meeting certain healthcare goals. Google "p4p immunizations." In the US it varies by state, so you could include the state in question in your search. In NY, for example, pediatricians get a $200 annual bonus for each fully-vaccinated 2-year-old in their practice. P4P is funded by insurance companies and Medicaid.

Canada, UK, New Zealand, the Netherlands and Australia also have p4p incentive programs, which give anywhere 10-25% of the practices' annual income.

my former ped admitted this to me when I questioned her. She said that when they have over 95% of their cleints vaccinated on schedule they get $ from "various parties" when I pressed her on who these "various parties were" She changed the subject. My guess is it's that state or perhaps the drug companies themselves

yes! Thanks. I wish I had head of P4P when I was questioning her. Seems like it's public info...wonder why she was so vague about it

CDC is a government agency paid for by the taxpayers, no? Why are they being sponsored by big pharma? Wrong on so many levels. And then they expect us to follow their "objective advice"?

I hear anecdotes like this, but never anything apart from it. I'm not saying that I don't believe you. I'm just surprised that none of the vax-critic groups have cited any articles or evidence of it. If anything, I've seen that just the opposite is the case.

That said, there are other kick-backs and financial incentives involved in this whole sleazy operation.
