Pregnant and nursing a 7mo old

I found out that I'm pregnant a couple weks ago and I'm having some issues...

#1. Nipple soreness... any tips?
#2. She kicks me, especially in the side lying position when I nurse at night. She's done this since birth, at the time my midwife said it was a natural thing that the baby does to help the uterus shrink. She doesn't really understand no. A couple nights ago she did it really hard in the bladder/uterus area and I had bad cramps for a couple hours afterwards. How do I get her to stop?

#1. Lanolin, stay hydrated, change latch and position.
#2. You might just have to move her to a different position. Can you swing her legs up over your side?

Congrats

On the nipple soreness - there isn't always an answer for this. This is a hormonal symptom for some mums during pregnancy. Obviously good latch helps, some lansinoh, a shield in extreme cases. Have you any damage or just general soreness? Definitely no thrush around?
Kicking - I don't have any experience of this myself. At 7 mo old she's too little to empathize with you or understand cause/effect. The only options are to use padding/ a cushion or try and change position in some way or try and hold her legs. That big kick doesn't sound good. Hope you are OK.

Thanks for the tips. I think some padding might work. I could probably just put a pillow between us for now.

I don't have any dammage. It's just sore. I think at night though I'm probably not really paying attention to her latch and she might be slightly off. I also think that when she's nursing at night it is more about teething pain than actually needing food. I've been chomped a few times. So I'm going to try giving her teething tabs before nursing her and see if that helps too.
