IGE and IGG and accuracy

So I just had an IGE done on my son. Showed nothing but an abnormality to dog hair. But we did not have an IGG...I did not know there was another test. Should that be done as well....I really hate to get him poked again but what are the differences between the two tests besides that I read the IGE is used for life threatening allergies and the IGG is for intolerances. We my son has had some eczema like symptoms for some time now. We are actually seeing an Nutritonist...chiro who will do a NRT Nutrition Response Test. But what about the IGE and IGG differences???

It is a different antibody in response to allergens, usually food, though I think there are some labs which will test for chemicals and environmental as well.
If you can get an allergist to run it, it may be worth your time. The ELISA panel which we had run has an 85% accuracy rate.
I'm not sure if that answers what you're asking, but I hope it helps a little at least.
