All Day Cleaning Marathon

So I found myself with a full day with NOTHING on the calendar. : (Love those days!)

I am going to clean up my whole house, one room at a time - with a quick break in between each for snacking/feeding kids and posting updates here. I think I will just need some caution tape to ban any children from coming into a finished room while I am somewhere else.

Anyone want to join me? It will be so nice to have everything done at once! C'mon, I know you wanna...

I wish I could join you, but we're leaving for a field trip at 1pm, then meeting mil for dinner and grocery shopping tonight.

PM me the next time you do it and I'll be there!

So I finished the first layer of the kitchen - dishes in dw, running, some pots left over that wouldn't fit though. Counters cleared and washed, chicken bucket fed to the chickens, floor vacuumed (yes, vacuumed ). Fridge cleaned out and wiped down - super easy since I really need to go food shopping. Just need to wait for the dw to be done so I can unload.

I am finding myself not wanting to leave that room, since its the only one done...

I can share, but I think a brick wall would do a much better job!

Okay, off to do the next room...

Wow! I'm impressed! I sooooo wish I could be doing a cleaning marathon right now. It would totally free up our weekend!! But I'll be doing my fair share tomorrow - cleaning hardwoods floors till they shine, cleaning the kitchen floor, bathroom, baseboards throughout the entire house, wood blinds, oh, and we need to find a new area rug for the living room. No matter how much we clean it, it just flat out stinks!!

We're getting ready to put our house on the market, so this isn't my normal, every day cleaning regimen! LOL

time for a break! and ds2 really wants to nurse.
i got the bedroom done (changed sheets, pulled out all ds2's smaller clothes and dug out the next sized ones, cleaned off the dresser top, p.u.everything from floor....) and did the bathroom- since i can actually close that door (wiped down all surfaces, mirrors, scrub toilet, got that dirt ring off the tub.....)
still have to vacuum but i'd rather do that all at once.
what room next? they're all pretty bad at the moment- looks like that Tornado came through recently . i'm thinking living room as i can also close that door when i'm done. i'm hoping ds1 will go down for a nap....

so more nursing.... i got ds1 down for a nap (feeling pretty succesful just from that). now i can actually clean faster than the mess is being made!
living room is done -well dh has a pile of papers but i don't dare move them and i've got a few bags of stuff to get rid off and it really really needs a vacuuming but otherwise it's done!
got the washer going too- have to make a mountain of clothes tackle tomorrow.

now quick, before he wakes, where are those bricks?!

You're doing great! I did my marathon on Wednesday in 15 minute bursts, and it's surprisingly still fairly clean.

I had a marathon this week as well, but mine was on Wednesday. I need to do a mini-clean though as I have been lazy today. Fil took the kids so I could recover from a cold *ha* so what I'd do - but spend 4 hrs cleaning and about 2 hrs catching up laundry. Sad thing was I had just seriously deep cleaned last week but then got sick amazing how fast it goes bad.

dining room is done. plus i vacuumed the living room.that just leaves the laundry room which i picked up so i'm going to leave that til a day when i get both boys down for a good long nap, and then theres the kitchen....yikes. it was already kinda messy and i've been cooking and dropping stuff off there all day. well i have to get supper going too.. why did i have to be so sensible and not get a dishwasher?

Good job, mommas!
I had some interruptions. But, I am still happy with my progress.

...got the boys bedroom done - cleaned up, toys organized, bed made, swept
...hall swept
...powder room straightened up and wiped down
...made dinner, messed up my work earlier I did empty the dw, though, just need to clean up from dinner
...living room cleaned up and swept
...folded (but yet to put away) three loads of laundry
...went to the bank and the gas station
...my daughter cleaned her room
