I am planning on hs my 5 yo next year. I have already bought the My Father's World curriculm and Phonics Museum for next year but I am wanting to see about getting some learning style testing done on him to see what his best way of learning is. DOes anyone know of a place I can test him or a free one on the internet that is geared towards kids? Have looked at a few online but they aren't kid friendly - the questions are not ones that he would be able to answer.

Hmmmm... I taught high school and let the kids do them, but they were older.

Did you check here?

The way I do the evaluation is by observation. Can you find someone local like a teacher who is versed in learning styles to come by?

I can also give you an idea based on the answers to certain questions about what *you* see when you observe.

Do you live in FL?

Found this, which might be helpful.

Other than that, I have several friends who are teachers and one particularly is very encouraging with the homeschooling - I plan to ask her for help on this.  If you can find a teacher who is supportive, I'd definately use them as a resource!
