Calling all "overdue" mamas... - Page 2

I'm not "overdue" yet but I'm due today.
And already I got "Are you getting induced?" :
Me: Um. No.
Person: Oh. You're so brave to wait for it. I got them to induce me.
Me: Well. I consider you brave then, actually. I was induced with DS1 and it was terrible. I will never do it again if I have a choice. (unless of course the choice is induction or c/s but I didn't say that, yadda yadda)
Person: Oh? Well second births are always easier so maybe that's why.
Me: Yeah...

I'm 42 weeks and 1 day today. I'm just trying to maintain faith that this little baby will come out as expected, and hopefully before I feel too pressured into a medical intervention! My NSTs have been normal, and I have another tomorrow, with a scheduled ultrasound Wednesday. My question is how long could this baby really decide to wait? I am also concerned that the ultrasound will show the baby to be large, possibly inaccurate, and scare me into an intervention that I don't want!
