So I have an Ergo and a Beco (among others 
). I love the Ergo's sleep hood, since it actually blocks DS's view when snapped up all the way, and this helps him settle for a nap MUCH faster than when he can look around. I just got a Beco Butterfly II and I HATE the sleep hood on it! (But otherwise I love it). My complaints:
1. It's black = dark & hot during summer.
2. It doesn't block the view to the sides at ALL.
3. There are only 3 snap settings, which begs the question: why is there elastic on the edges when it never stretches (or is my babe too small still?)?
4. It's kind of a thick material, which is totally unnecessary for a sleep hood.
5. It doesn't seem to actually support his head, it just sits on top of it.
The only thing I like about it is that it unsnaps and stores when not in use.
So, I'm wondering if anyone makes or knows where to find someone who sells an alternative to it? I would love to find a WAHM who sews a nice, lightweight, breathable, hopefully UV protective hood that is more adjustable and spreads wider to the sides so it can block the view, and maybe scoops in or has elastic at the top so it doesn't rub against my neck.
