Fast first labour, second labour ?

If you had a fast labour (4hrs and under) with your first, how long was your second? Did it go faster or longer or same? Just looking for btdt experiences and stories. Thanks!

Both were 4 hours, first induced, second not. I'd be interested to see how long this one is. Hopefully faster

with my first (ds) i was in labor from beginning to birth about 36 hours...but he was early and i think would have stayed another week if they hadn't broke my water. with my dd1 it was a week of on and off contractions, but actual labor was only 3.5 hours with 2 mins of pushing...easy birth at home. with dd2 i did the same off and on for a week then it was almost 10 hours of labor with her being posterior. so transition lasted several of those hours unfortunately. but she was born after 34 mins. of pushing, at home in the water like her big sister.

so none of my labors really matched up except the week long contractions..

My first labor was about 6 hours. 2nd and 3rd labors were 4 hours (to the minute ).

All three of my labors were roughly 3.5 hours. Dd1 was the hardest (my second child) because she was posterior and never turned. DD2 (number 3) was by far the easiest, right postion born at home.

My 2nd was a tad faster than my first. I really think it would've been alot faster had I done it naturally.
So this time around i'm going all natural and hoping it's not TOO fast

1st: once contractions got going (after 18hrs of ROM with no cxs, and pit augmentation), 3.5 hours

2nd: (home birth) 7 hours from ROM to birth, with only an hour or so of "real" labor

1st- 6cm to delivered in 2 hrs.

2nd- 6 cm to delivered in 1 hr.

3rd- after water broke and waiting for about 36 hrs, being at 8 cm for the last 8 of those, ended up having a csection. Turned out his head was not positioned correctly.

First: 5 hours, hard labor more like 3 hours
Second: 2 hours from first contraction to birth... most of the activity happened in last 35 minutes.
Third: 3 hours active labor, but I had some cramping prior that warned me things were starting up.

Quick birthing was the main reason I first investigated homebirth. I hated riding to the hospital with my first and figured it would be much better having someone come to ME. I would not have made it to the hospital with #2, so that was a good choice for us. My mw made it there just after his head was born.

Both my labours started with my water breaking as a first sign of labour and transition followed quickly. Before that, for my first I was sleeping and for my second I was relaxing after sex.

1st was 2.5 hours
2nd was 35 minutes.

First labor was induced and lasted about 6 hours-BUT I went from 5-10 in an hour. Had the labor been natural and not induced I probably would have gone faster since I didn't start to progress until after I got the epidural (couldn't relax through those nasty pic ctxs).
Second labor started on it's own and once I hit active labor it lasted 1.5 hours, and nothing really exciting happened until 50 minutes before she was born when my water broke. I was 7 cms before active labor hit and had no trouble at all relaxing through the ctxs with this labor.
