Help! Fertilizer was used on our lawn!

I don't know how long children and pets are suppose to stay off the lawn after fertilizer is applied. We rent from our MIL and she came in and put fertilizer on our lawn sometime during the week (probably Thurs or Friday morning and we just find out about this today ).. DS's B-day party is today (Sat) and now we don't know what we are going to do!

It looks like everything has been "watered in" but I can't find any more info out there.. please help!

I am quite sure she used chemical fertilizer.

I wouldn't stress about it too much. It's not a pesticide or herbicide, right? I would just make sure that the kids are wearing shoes when they're out, but I don't think there's any real toxicity issue, esp. if it's already been watered.
