Hello...it's time to write my novel now...

Hello...

This is the first day of my new life. I quit my job. I stepped off the ledge.

I'll be freelancing, mostly using oDesk online, and perhaps Elance as well - anyone had much experience with these two?

Also, I do commission and I will be painting again. The joy of my life is back!

Additionally - and the reason I am writing to you ladies here - I feel it is time to get a novel out of me. I've not felt ready to do this until now. But there's something inside me now and I think I have to go there and get it out. There's a land in my heart that has built up...there's a story in there...it needs to be told.

I'm not sure what it is yet, but I think if I start writing, it will emerge...

I think some of you know what I'm talking about. I don't know if I'm looking for encouragement because I think this thing is inevitable, like a birth, but just wanted to see if there were others out there who had felt this way before too. I have a feeling that what I'm feeling is not that odd...

Good luck on the novel. I have been working on mine in my head for years, and have just started to write it down. I just can't get it right. In my head it is witty where it should be, touching in other parts, etc.... On paper it seems flat!

I've used Elance, and I don't know if I could recommend it... The fees are high, but the quality of jobs on there doesn't seem any different from guru.com... I don't know if you do high end writing or budget writing (I am a cheap-o writer that cranks out crap most of the time), but it seems that if you go for lower end projects on Elance, you spend a lot of money bidding on jobs...

Best of luck in your writing career. I wish that I could jump off the ledge... Ah, maybe one day!
