Those that are still pregnant-how's your sleep?

I'm still pregnant at 39 weeks and days and my sleep is horrible. I'm constantly waking up from crampy contractions and having to go to the bathroom. I'm awake every 20-30 minutes. Last night I got up and took a shower at 4 AM to see if it would stop the crampy contractions and let me get a little more sleep, but it didn't do much good at all. I wish my baby would come soon!

How's everyone else sleeping?

Sleep? What's that?

I sleep horribly. I'm up at least every hour to go to the bathroom.

Not great. Up a TON to pee. I've got to take a short nap every afternoon or I can hardly keep my eyes open during the evening. But as disturbed as my sleep is now, I know I'm getting more than I will be in a few weeks

Ditto. Plus my mind is constantly racing the second I wake up.

I'm sleeping super well, but I did with my twins pregnancy too. I'm snoring wayyyyy too loud and only getting up 3-4 times at night to pee even though baby is super super low.

Crappy. I can't get comfortable, my hips are really sore these days. And I do still get some reflux, which is a pain. And I get up to pee hourly or every two hours.

I'm SUPER cranky in bed too! Poor dh, he'll try to snuggle up to me and it's just so uncomfortable! He's a saint for putting up with me, waking him up because he's snoring or because his between the legs pillow is making my legs uncomfortable. He is ready for this baby to come too!

I'm so sorry to those that are suffering - but my sleep is pretty good! I get up once or twice to pee. THe most disturbance to my sleep is when DS joins us (sometimes early in the night, sometimes not till morning). But my body is letting me sleep. *knock on wood*

Better than it was not long ago though I have been staying up really late which I think is part of the cause bc by then I am really tired. I am still stressed about even the thought of the talk of induction so I am sure as that day nears it will get worse again.

that

I stay up way late so that I'm exhausted, than I sleep pretty good for 4 hours or so, wake up to pee, than stumble back to bed until 8:15 or so. But its out of sheer exhaustion. I also spend the last 2 hours or so tossing and turning a lot as the hip pain becomes breaks through the sleep, KWIM?

Not too bad, really. I have the luxury of being able to sleep in most days, though, which makes a big difference. Lately I'll be awake for a while at, say, 4, and then sleep really soundly from 5-8.

Sleep is pretty awful here. I have the hip pain thing too, I can sleep pretty well for four hours or so but after that I can't get comfortable because my hips are sore from having my weight on them and turning over hurts my belly and and and and...

Horribly. Hip pain, congestion that results in mouth-breathing and a lovely cottony morning mouth, anxiety, braxton-hicks, DH snoring, you name it, it's bugging me. I took half of a Benadryl last night to see if it helped, and I did sleep until 3:15 which is a huge slug of time for me, only now I've been up since then and am ready to drop. The fortunate thing is, I can pretty much get in a nap every day, so I just figure I'll get part of my sleep at night and part during the day.

I'm sleeping great. I get up to pee 2, 3, 4 times a night but I put on a hypnobabies script and I'm out fast. If I don't, my mind is racing and I'm up for 30+ minutes in the dark. Also I have a snoogle pillow and it rocks, and my DH is on toddler night duty so if DS1 wakes up I don't have to even think about it. Fabulous.

Hip pain here as well. Getting up 4-6 times a night to pee, but I drift off pretty quickly usually. Rolling over is the hardest part at the moment, because my hips crack painfully as I shift my weight.

Woke up the other night with DH peering over me to see if I was okay. I told him I was fine and sleeping happily so go back to sleep. lol, told him about it yesterday and he doesn't remember! He looks after me even in his sleep.

AustGirl that's so sweet about your DH, though it might have been a disturbing too to wake up to him staring at you hehe.

Most nights I take a long time to get to sleep and wake up several times to pee and get water, sometimes a snack. Last night I slept great though! Today was so refreshing I haven't been dragging at all. Should have gone into labor today, well rested as I was that would have been good.

hehe, it was a little creepy at first, but then I realised he was checking on me. Awwww.

I can't remember the last time I slept through. I do get really cranky though when I've had a good sleep and feel 100% relaxed and don't go into labour! I'm sure it'll happen after a sleepless night and really busy day.

like crap!

I wake at least every 2-3 hours to pee...when I try to stand up I can't walk because it feels like my pelvis has collapsed from laying down--and my hips get locked up from laying down--I'm so miserable!

Mostly it's been OK, but the waking up at 3 a.m. with nausea is now back. I think it might be from low blood sugar.

So this morning, I lay in bed until 5 a.m. and then called L&D. I was originally scheduled for an amniotomy today (Monday) but they moved it to tomorrow thinking they'd be full-up today. They are

I have gone through some major physical changes in the last several days, and I'm ready to get this over with.
