Wipes Solution

I've been looking through wipes solutions and haven't found this particular one, but would like to try it for my newborn based on ratios I found elsewhere:

2 cups water
2 TBS apricot oil (burts bees)
2 drops TTO
2 TBS burts bees baby wash

I only have one recipe's worth of burts bees apricot oil but oculd get more if it works. I don't have any other scented oils. I also have GSE and CA Baby Diaper Area Wash (the spray).

Also, if I pour it over the cloth wipes I have in the cloth container, will this solution stay fresh until they're gone? I have about 32 flannel wipes that fit in the container. Also, say I have two containers of wipes ready to go, if I make a double batch eventually, will the presence of the TTO allow both containers to keep, if we use them over the course of a week?

I have a peri bottle from the hospital I could also use but I would like to try pre-moistening the wipes mainly for DH.

I'm not sure if it would stay fresh until the wipes were all used. When we would make a wipes solution in a container we changed it every day. It developed an odor if we didn't.

Well, to be honest, i don't know a lot about apricot oil so I can't comment. The other ingredients sound fine to me though.

I pre-moisten my wipes with homemade solution, but only add a handful of wipes, so they only last us a day or 2. My ds is 2, though, so we don't go through them that fast - that will all change come Aug with ds2! That reminds me I need to get more wipes sewn up!

You can try the solution and see how it works for you. I started with something similar and found that 2T baby wash and 2T oil was too much, so now I put in more like 1T of each or a little less. And I use an old pop bottle to store it in, so it's less than 2 cups, really.

You know, as I was making it up about 5 min ago, I put 1 TBS of the oil back, and only did about 1TBS of the soap as it did seem like a lot.

We'll see how this works!
