Huggies new 'green' diaper?

Are they really? And how do they compare to the other green sposies? Both in 'greenness' and reliability?

I'm just curious, bc I LOVE me some Huggies, even though my conscious makes me do cloth as much as I can handle.

I use sposies at night and I just got these as I received a $3 coupon in the mail. They seem to work well. I can't speak to the 'greenness' of the diapers, but I just use them at night, so I was willing to try them out. I think that without the coupon they are a little more expensive than the 'earth's best' that I usually buy.

Also, they are SUPER soft.... I love earth's best, but some of the other 'green' diapers are super hard and crunchy, but these are soft and light.

I'm not sure how 'green' they really are. The description on the package is vague ('organic cotton used in...' etc. That could mean, .01% is organic cotton) and to me, they are still a disposable diaper. Still going in my trash can, and to a landfill. The sposies I'm using for the first week or two with my new little one are a brand they carry at Target called Nature Babycare. They are 100% compostable and chlorine free, which are the most important things to me

Please be sure if you choose to compost them you are informed exactly how to compost humanure. If done improperly you risk spreading diseases, which is not "green".
