For diaper covers?

For newborns, I love 100purewool, malabrigo, or handpainted yarn. The softer the better for tiny ones. Once the babe starts crawling, though, you will probably need to sacrifice some softness for durability. Wool of the Andes and Peace Fleece are nice and not too expensive (although my 2 yr dd says PF is too scratchy.)

How about some 3IG Lindon Merino? Mine is cottony soft and beautiful colorways....

Oh anything BFL- doesn't pill nearly as much as merino.

My longest lasting longies for toddler are my lamb's pride worsted. It is so durable and so soft- plus I think single plys are just plain fun to knit! It does pill though....

Do we like cascade 220?
cascade 220 looks shabby very shortly for me. They look great for a little while and then they look aweful....

I like cascade 220, but the lighter colors do seem to look dirty and shabbier....like harder to wash clean

I really like Brown Sheep Nature Spun, it's priced right, lots of pretty colors, wears well, soft..................but it is mothproofed!

I think Peace Fleece is nice, but can be scratchy. Malabrigo is heavenly, but pilly. Little Turtle Knits always has really nice yarns.

I really liked the LTK farm yarn. It held up for a lot of wear.
