My friends dog ate a tube and a half of petrodex enzymatic toothpaste(read: feed by children )
I'm trying to find info online to see if he'll be ok, and we can't phone the vet since its a holiday here today.
Anyone know if he'll be ok and what side effects may come from eating that much toothpaste?
The dog is a 9 month old black lab.
thanks in advance!

They say something about a consulting fee, but I've never had them charge me.

Labs will eat anything. Once I saw one for getting into someone's medication. Didn't get a toxic dose, but then it comes out that the dog chewed and ate a wire hair brush. Ate. the. bristles.

We're in Canada so the number won't work for me. I'll check the SPCA though, they might be able to help since they are basically the same organization.

The toothpaste is his though, designed or dogs. I doubt it was meant to be consumed in large doses (thanks kids)
A wire brush? Dang! He must have had a gut like cast iron!

Poultry Flavor
Ingredients: Sorbitol, Purified Water, Dicalcium Phosphate, Hydrated Silica, Glycerin, Poultry Digest, Dextrose, Xanthan Gum, Sodium Benzoate, Glucose Oxidase (Aspergillus niger).
These were the ingredients that showed up when I googled...

You could google each ingredient with 'toxicity' attatched. I'd honestly be concerned if there was fluoride. At least I don't see that.
