This is my 6th straight year of nursing so I've developed a few tricks that work for me.

Things that I do: always keep a liter of water by the bed, I drink before I go to bed, when I wake up in the night, and if there is any left over I down it before heading downstairs in the morning. I refill it and put it back so that anytime I walk upstairs, I drink more.
I keep a liter of water in the kitchen and living room as well. I use 1 L mason jars so I can just spread them around the house. I NEVER sit down to nurse without a full jar next to me, with a straw to make it easy. Anytime I walk by and see one of my water jars, I take a big drink.
I keep a small bottle of water of in my diaper bag, an 1L bottle on the floorboard of my van to refill bottles and another smaller one in my cup holder. I make sure that I drink at least the entire smaller one while I'm driving. even if I'm just dropping a child off at gymnastics, I can do half there and half back.
