DH and I loved it last year, it cracked us up. I was also coming off a huge Japanese game-show kick I like it because it doesn't require me to focus after a long day!

Wipeout is hilarious. The commentary more than anything else, i think.

"Big Balls"

I liked "I Survived a Japanese Game Show" better than Wipeout last year, but we did watch it-my husband is a big fan, so we'll probably watch.

I never remember to TIVO it but the times we have watched it it always cracks us up. It looks so painful when people bounce off those giant balls. Also, I get so winded just from watching, lol.

Is there an American version too? We watched a UK show that sounds like it might be the same thing, called Total Wipeout, & I know several countries use the same course in Argentina.

Saw it advertise tonight....We're going to watch it. It looks like a great show to me!! Can't wait!

I watched it once last season. I thought the commentary was misogynistic, offensive, and unfunny. My young kids would think the challenges are hilarious but I do not want to expose them to the "humor" which would be more for teenagers I think.

I seen the commercial, and I think I will be watching. It looks hilarious!
I've never seen the show before.

totally-what better summer entertainment for the whole family?

We all laughed so hard when this was on last year!!! :

we watched and thought it was kind of lame, then I was FURIOUS to see a commercial for a very graphic, disturbing horror movie in the 8:30-9 pm slot. It came on and I couldn't find the remote to click it away-the kids got very scared! I wrote a letter of complaint to ABC and will not be watching again.

I don't enjoy watching people get hurt at ALL. I don't get why that makes people laugh? I just cringe watching the commercials.

I've never seen anyone actually get hurt. They are pretty padded up and all the obstacle course is padded. People laugh because it's funny. No one is getting hurt, they are doing silly obstacle courses, doing silly things that no one would every really do and it's just silly to watch.

Yeah, I don't like the commentary either, which is a reason we probably won't be watching this year.

I agree. This is why I didn't like it either. I'm actually not an easily offended person, but the commentary is really awful.
