Book on marraige for bride?

Anyone know of any good books on marraige for Christians. I'm looking for ideas for a bridal shower gift for my Roman Catholic friend, so nothing about fixing a failing relationship, something positive and with some good tips!

Any other brilliant ideas are welcome too!

I really liked "Inviting God to Your Wedding" by Martha Williamson.

I like This Momentary Marriage by John Piper. It focuses on the meaning of marriage - to display the covenant-keeping love between God and his people - and gives some good practical advice for marriage based its meaning. God's covenant is eternal, but marriage is only until death, which is why the title calls marriage "momentary."

You can read the book in a free pdf file at desiringgod.org. Also, amazon only has the hardcover - if you prefer paperback, you gan buy it at desiringgod.org.

A lot of my Christian friends have talked about the First 90 Days of Marriage. They really seemed to like it and even recommended it to my DH and me when we were engaged. We have a copy on the bookshelf that someone gave us. I didn't really read too much of it, since it wasn't applicable to my religion, etc, but it seems like it has some good advice --particularly for couples who didn't live together before getting married. This recommendation is from friends who are protestant, though, but I think it's pretty non-denom.

My spouse and I really like "The Five Love Languages." It's good for any point of your marriage. Very practical advice!

I like "As Unto the Lord" from Doorposts, and "The Excellent Wife" by Martha Peace.

I always give "Two part Inventions" by Madeline L'Engle. It is the story of her own long marriage but contains lovely advice about when to compromise and when not to. She was a Christian all her life and it shows in her writing.

I like anything by Les and Leslie Parrott:

Since your friend is Catholic, I recommend "Good News About Sex and Marriage: Answers to Your Honest Questions About Catholic Teaching" by Christopher West. It's based on Pope John Paul's teachings on the Theology of the Body, but presents the material in a very easy to read and understand way.

I don't know if this is appropriate, but my grandmother gave it to me (I'm not married, guess she was trying to hint, lol). "Sex as you don't know it: for married couples who love God." It's written by a Polish friar, though I think it's been translated into English.

My grandmother is a hardcore Roman Catholic, so if she approves of the book - it must be OK. I never read actually read it, but passed it on to a friend, so I can't vouch for it.

My suggestion isn't about marriage, but I was suggested this book when I was planning my wedding and was really glad I did:

Celebrating Marriage: Preparing the Roman Catholic Wedding Liturgy a Workbook for Engaged Couples.
