Due Date today :) and facing u/s and NST...

So, today is my magical "due date" (which I guess is when I explode?) and I have to go for an U/S, a midwife appointment and a non-stress test. Just please say a prayer or think a good thought for me that they find nothing wrong.

I so didn't want to start heading down this route, but baby is just not ready to come out yet, despite my best efforts to get him out. (Castor oil does not work if you are not ready!)

You and me both: I have a NST and a BPP this afternoon. At last week's BPP my AFI was low, so I'm worried. But baby still moves lots, and I just gotta hope it was a temporary thing or that he was just in a funky position and she couldn't see the fluid.

If you can fight the induction, please please do it. Even if that means having to deal with those u/s and nst for a while.

s to those still waiting.

I'm DDC crashing here, but why is it you are "late" past 40 weeks? 42 weeks is the normal "up to" period in pregnancy. Pregnancy lasts anywhere between 38-42 weeks, 40 is just the average. This irks me, it just screams INDUCTION to me.

I hope it all goes well and if you were not exhibiting any other problems then it should go great. Just remember, refusing the induction until 42 weeks is completely acceptable (unless of course there is a problem that shows in the NST's).

HUGS!
