Sigh. My hands look old

I know it's vain, but I'm 36 and I feel like my hands and fingers look older than the rest of me. Anything I can do about this?

I imagine this isn't as natural (if at all?) but I used to use Mary Kay's satin hands therapy, it was a three part process and it really helped.

Though I don't think my hands look old, they feel better when I use the therapy.

I don't know if this would help, but lately I've been trying the oil cleansing method and as a side benefit, my hands feel sooooooo soft! When I'm done massaging my face, I just rub the extra oil all over my hands and into my nails. The backs of my hands feel so soft doing this. I use EVOO with a bit of castor oil, but I'm sure just the EVOO would be even more moisturizing.

But for a cream, I really like unscented glysomed. It has lots of glycerine and makes my hands really nice.

I've been trying to remember to always put my gloves on when washing the dishes and cleaning. It does help protect your hands.

coconut oil is supposed to be great for making your skin supple!

Moisturizing and sun block are your best bets. Sadly some of us just have old looking hands. But taking care of them can make them look better. Sadly mine have looked old since I was like 18

I'm right there with you...at 38. For some reason, I don't care much about any other parts of my body, but I want my hands to look young. Yet, I forget to put lotion on ALL THE TIME. (something my great-grandmother and grandma drilled into me to do) So, just recently I've been trying to remind myself to reapply lotion frequently by putting some at each sink (I wash my hands a lot). I also use rubber gloves for EVERYTHING, but that's probably a sensory thing. I really like the Burt's Bees Almond Milk Beeswax Hand Creme (in a jar), even though Burt's Bees was bought by Clorox or something. I actually bought a dozen jars on sale for about $1 each right when the change happened, so lucky me! I imagine coconut oil would be a really great, natural option, too.

Yoyoba oil (sp??) works great in place of handcream. If you use it all the time, your hands will look younger.

Me too. I purchased some special gloves at Target that were labled "moisture lock gloves". You put lotion on your hands at night and then wear the gloves. This is the same as putting lotion on your feet and then wearing socks at night. Those gloves stare me in the face every time I brush my teeth but I am so lazy about doing it.

That's a good idea about putting lotion at the sink...

Try a squirt of glycerin in the soap and lotion dispensers too. (In addition to lotion and gloves!) I rub a drop of glycerin into my hands after I wash them and they get nice and soft. (And then I get lazy, and now my hands look "old" again...)
