Midnight Sun when (is?) she going to publish?

i am a little late to the twilight books... didn't read them until after the movie. i have just noticed that all of the stuff with midnight sun is not a recent thing like i thought. it has been over a year and i was wondering if anyone knew when/if she intends to publish.

i get that she felt betrayed but she should start a support group with every other writer, actor, and singer who has had the same thing happen. so people read a draft.. big whoop.... its still her novel she can write whatever she wants whether people read the draft or not. i would never have known about it if she hadnt posted it on her website. she can change and add whatever she wants ... she doesnt have to stay with that draft just b/c people have already read it.

ever since i heard about it i have been looking forward to reading it... the one thing i thought was missing from the twilight books was the perspective of edward and the cullens (well that and the limitations of being a YA novel ) i was all excited and now it looks like i'll be thirty before she publishes.

I read the draft on her website. I liked it and wanted more! I really enjoyed hearing things from the Cullens view.

I understand her upset, but 'taking her toys away' has me bummed!

Yeah, I couldn't help feel that it was more of a borderline personality thing. As if what she really wanted/needed was to have thousands of people emailing/posting/blogging/writing/whatever with "Oh poor Stephenie! Please, though, we can't *LIVE* without Midnight Sun! Please, please, we're begging you, please finish it for us or our lives will be forever incomplete! Oh, Stephenie, we love you and NEED you!" So then she can somehow get over her hurt, betrayal and disappointment and give her legions of fans what they really want.

Meh. I can't read any of her stuff after that melodramatic, pubescent temper tantrum she threw. Save your drama for your mama, Stephenie.

I haven't read it yet because I'm hoping she'll turn it into a book. I am rereading the Twilight series now though so maybe I'll end up reading it when I get to the end.

lol you have more restraint then me. i read the whole thing the night i saw it. i really really wanted to hear more about edward and the cullens and when i finally get to read it i find out she may not publish!! :

Hopefully she'll finish it soon, I'm dying to read the rest.

I guess I don't really get why people are upset about her attitude. I'm pretty sure I'd feel extremely hurt and betrayed had someone done that to me. And I can totally see why she'd feel like she didn't want to continue with it.

i just feel like it is her story and just because someone was disrespectful enough to leak it doesnt make it any less hers. she shouldn't let it make her feel like something has been taken from her. someone betrayed her trust but she has more control than she realizes. why let that breach of trust stop her from doing what she wanted to do and writing what she wants to write. and i do write so i understand the naked vulnerable feeling when your work is read before you intend but its still your work nothing changes that only you can.
