Please help me compile one! Thanks! What are your suggestions for good but not-too-complex books? Fiction or non. (It can be a little complex, but not too much. I don't need complete fluff.)

For you, or for your kids? If it's for you, what kinds of genres/subject matter do you like? I love the idea of a summer reading list -- I think I might need to make one as well.

Here are the things I want to read, feel free "to borrow"
  • Graveyard by Gaiman
  • The Hitchhicker's Guide to the Galaxy by Adams
  • The Outlander by Gabaldon
  • Angels and Demons (actually reading right now, and enjoying it much )
  • Stardust by Gaiman
  • Paradise by McNaught

For me. I tend to like non-fiction but fiction is ok, too.

-Evidence Not Seen*
-Fast Food Nation*
-Nickel and Dimed*

Here's some nonfiction I've enjoyed:

Confederates in the Attic
Salvation on Sand Mountain
The Orchid Thief
The Perfect Scent (this was just OK, but I enjoyed the subject matter -- a look inside the perfume industry)
Devil in the White City
John Adams
The Serpent and the Rainbow
My Family and Other Animals
West with the Night
Galileo's Daughter
Spook

For my two cents : In non-fiction I love Isaac's Storm. I also recommend The Glass Castle.
