Went for my U/S and than saw my midwife. Baby is measuring over 43+ weeks for his abdomen and head and they diagnosed me with polyhydramnios with a fluid level of 28.
My midwife is awesome and while she was very concerned, she suggested we try to wait a few days and see if labor kicks in (Had her strip my membranes), if not we were going to try to induce by AROM in the hospital. Then I headed to L&D for the NST, which baby passed perfectly. Then the midwife called the hospital and told them to send me back to the office because she wanted to see me.
I got there and apparently I am now an "accident waiting to happen" according to the head OB. They didn't even want me to go home, wanted to send directly back to the hospital to be admitted for an emergency c-section. Baby is still floating out of the pelvis, and they are concerned about cord prolapse, especially since I am 30 minutes from the hospital in the best case scenario. I told them it was impossible for me to go right that minute, I needed to get my SO home from NY, get DD to her aunt's house, etc. My midwife was the only one willing to let me go and get everything settled first, as long as I promised to show up at some point this evening to be admitted to L&D for close monitoring with a c-section scheduled for tomorrow morning.
I'm done. DP is on his way home, he'll be taking me to check in at L&D, than taking DD to my SIL, than he'll come back and spend the night with me at the hospital. DS will be arriving tomorrow AM.
I'm disappointed in not getting a VBAC, I know I have the right to refuse and tell them to fly a kite, but something is telling me to get him out now. I am not going to ignore my instinct and would rather have control of the situation somewhat, rather than an emergency in labor.
Talk to you all soon.

mama! My thoughts are with you and hoping for a fast recovery!! I'm also sorry you aren't getting the birth you desired, but it's good to follow your instincts in this situation, and you'll be welcoming you LO into the world very soon!
:
Liz, I can only imagine how stressful this is. Just think you'll be holding your baby tomorrow (and on my due date so it's a lucky day)

) and wondering if your LO had arrived.
