Shopping in Canada
I am also in Canada. That's true, a lot of US companies will not ship across the border and even if they do shipping is another concern. I have found most of the gluten free stuff in Planet Organic or other health food stores. They are not cheap, but better than having to pay shipping on top.Superstore has rice, tapioca & sweet rice flour but you will have to go the Asian food section to look for them. The stuff you find in the Chinese area tends to be more expensive than foods from the Indian area, don't ask me why, so check both of them out. I buy rice flour from the Indian area because they come in larger package and a bit less expensive.
Having a grain mill is good but not all of them can grind all grains. I have a stone mill and I wouldn't use any grains that is high in fat/water because it would cause glazing problem. I use mine to mill mostly wheat, rye, white rice, brown rice etc.
I have never tried bean flour myself but they are also available in the Superstore by the Indian area. I am very tempted but my body doesn't like beans so I probably will end up tossing it out.
