Favorite cooking shows? - Page 3

LOL, I remember the Kwanzaa cake!! She's got quite the touch with the angel food cakes. The Hanukkah one, with non-kosher marshmallows, is also a favorite.

The Applie Pie Napoleon (I had to go look it up), is on "Take Out/In 2". Otherwise known as the biggest WTF of all time. It was a mashed up, poor little innocent store-bought apple pie, smushed into holes that were dug out of puff pastry, and then topped with a powdered sugar/alcoholic glaze. And then displayed in a baseball grill, which she says inspired her tablescape. Which explains why she put dessert in it. Or...not.

I can't see ever wanting to make anything of hers... except maybe one of the cocktails but even though her style annoys me and her cooking style offends me, I feel like I kind of get her.

I watched her new show on making recipes cheaply and I didn't think it looked all that cheap to me, the way that they tallied everything. But more power to her, and she must have an audience that it works for.
You know what? I grew up poor, I know plenty of people who did. I raised my three sisters. There's no excuse for the kind of food crimes she commits on a daily basis. Food Network should be ashamed!! And I would rather eat my flipflops than serve my guests what she passes off as food. :blech:
