Are Kozy Carriers good for newborns?

Alright, well my DH will not try my ring sling or wraps, so we're looking at carriers that would work well for newborns and fit my fluffy DH. I've heard Kozys work well with large folks, but are they good for newborns? If not, what two shoulder carrier (non-wrap) might work better? Thanks!

I've used it with my 6 week old.

Don't know much about those, if you want to check out our page we custom fit every sling for the wearer and don't use rings etc.
Plus our slings are pretty affordable

I think Kozy's can be great, you'll just need to fold the waistband up a bit to make it smaller. This is a great link to read before you start wearing your newborn

Babyhawk also makes a XL version that would be good, just to give you more options!!!

PS, Kelly has lots of pictures and advice about using the Kozy with a newborn on her website.

i don't think Babyhawk's XL straps are waist straps, i know the OP's DH needs XL waist straps.

i loooove Kozys with a newborn, in fact it's my favorite newborn mei tai (and my favorite MT period, TBH) because it's nice and wide so you can froggy them without big gaps on the sides. you should check out her website, there are lots of good picture instructions on wearing the Kozy with a newborn i use them even for a high back carry too with itty bitties. you might not even need to fold it down to shorten it, at least not when you're froggying baby's legs. i never did.

Thanks!

To the poster who mentioned another non-ring sling, I should have posted, but DH will not try any one-shoulder anythings...he has really bad back problems and thinks these will make things worse. Sorry.
