Noggin's new show The Jumparounds- what are they thinking???

Anyone seen this show? I have liked Noggin for the most part. My son learns a lot watching it and in small doses I think it's good. However, they have added a program called The Jumparounds. Real people who dance and sing... which should be fine. But their songs are frighteningly catchy- to the point where my husband and I can't get them out of our heads and they are making us feel insane. My son's behavior has also plummeted since he developed an interest in them. His big sister helped him look them up on the internet and now he knows how to go to the link (he's 4- and great with the computer).

We clearly need to put a stop to his exposure to the Jumparounds, but I'm curious- has anyone else experienced this highly annoying program???

The songs are catchy! I find myself signing along. But I didn't know it was a show, I thought they came on between shows. I think 20 minutes of them continuously could make you crazy.

I read that they are creating a show out of them- something about kids at a music school. The songs are like a teaser of things to come, I guess.

Dh and I find them painfully annoying and waaaay too fluff. Like a twinkie.

They remind me of the Doddlebops whom we also can't stand.

What do you mean by this? Your son is acting poorly because he watched a show where adults jump around singing annoying songs?

I agree the show is annoying.

I took part in a focus group for that show a few months ago, and told them it was horrible. I was really surprised to see it ended up on TV! DD doesn't like it either luckily.

Oh, yeah, those songs are super annoying!

I thought they were just music videos between regular shows?!

I hate the stuff I've seen and my 2.5 yr old whines when it comes on so we normally turn it off!

Great. My 3 year old loves them and is now taking to shouting their songs (albeit in 3 year old interpretation ) and dancing around the house like they do. I can't wait to be back to normal so we don't watch as much TV...

Thankfully we have not seen these

Count me among the highly annoyed, too - my son starts jumping as soon as he sees them, because he takes their name, "Jumparounds" literally.

I find myself annoyed and fixated at the same time. Its fluffy and obnoxious, but the guy can rap! So I sit there with my mouth open, watching it with the remote positioned for action but then by the time I get to switching it, its over anyway.

I didn't know that there was going to be a show. I think 2 minutes or whatever is quite enough thanks

I'm pretty sure they are supposed to be Nick's version of the tv band Hi-5... Except their songs are much faster paced and loud--it gives me a headache trying to keep up with the lyrics! :

I get that song stuck in my head all the time!!! dh too. they don't anny me nearly as much as Yo-Gabba-Gabba though. That and Wow-Wow-Wubsy are on my NO FLY list. Clearly, Noggin has gone downhill with some of the new additions. We really limt TV time to one 20min show per day anyway, and I prefer a nice calm episode of Little Bear, Mrs. Spider, or Oswald to anything else....those darned Jump Arounds though...they are eerily catchy...."hear a beat on the street....."

I LOVE Yo Gaba! This new show isn't even in the same league.

I LOVE Miss Spider! My kids don't. I don't know why they will latch on to whatever the annoying show is and not the good ones.
I'm liking on Toot and Puddle now...

My Dh and I both are annoyed, does anyone else find it completely odd that 90% of the audience looks over 25? If it's a kids show why not have some kids in the audience.

I also hate the white boy rap-can anyone say Vanilla Ice? UGH.

I love Yo Gabba-Gabba though-it is perfect for my high energy kid.

My 3.5 year old LOVES LOVES LOVES music and dancing so she's all over her new BFFs, The Jumparounds. I'm not a fan but as long as it's not outright inappropriate, I'll probably just deal and let her watch it. Besides, we've seen every episode of Jack's Big Music Show NINE THOUSAND TIMES and they never have new ones.

There's a show?? I've only seen the between show songs. I can't get them out of my head!!!! DH and I crack up every time we see Twist's little rap. (Yes, I know all of their names.)

Is that the skinny white kid? I have nightmares of the rapping. It's terrible. I thought it was supposed to be a joke at first. Ugh.

I do love Oswald and Little Bear but nothin' compares to Yo Gabba Gabba. Biz's beat of the day? "Don't Bite Your Friends"? DJ Lance's awesome glasses? I watch it when DS isn't even awake...
