Hmm.
TMI alert. Avert your eyes if you don't want to know.
I went to the bathroom and had a looser than it has been (which is already looser than "normal") bm. I wouldn't go so far as to call it diarrhea though.
Contractions stopped since then. Almost makes me wish I hadn't gone.

Oh yeah and trauerweidchen-
Sorry about the weather. It's been unseasonably warm on the Coast here too, but I can completely understand how/why the temperatures where you are are INSANE. My mom was telling me the weather in Manitoba's crazy right now too.

I have no warm weather clothes. A couple of days ago it was 90, so I was going around in super baggy (normally - you know without a huge belly) shorts that, of course, were stretched to their limit and a big baggy t-shirt. It was sexy - let me tell you. The weather has cooled off here (at least for the time being), so that's good. Now, if I could just have a baby.....

Yeah I'm in the same boat with clothes. I have like 3 shirts I can wear that cover my belly, and long pants only. I do have a skirt or two I can wear, but honestly I feel pretty self-conscious about my body at the moment. So I would rather not show my legs. Today is our first day of really warm weather though, and it's been bearable.

Clothes.
I'm so cheap with maternity clothes it's sick. However, I actually spent more than $20 this pregnancy on maternity clothes (last time I bought a pair of maternity pants, a pair of maternity shorts and a maternity shirt all on sale- then a friend gave me 2 pairs of pants and a couple of shirts).
My SIL was due in October after me (June) so I loaned her the pants and shirts but never got them back so all I ended up having this time was my one pair of pants I'd kept for "post partum" and my pair of shorts. I've bought 2 pairs of pants again and 3 maternity tops, then was given 2 maternity tops. So, I do have shorts (which I never got to wear last time) but am too self conscious to wear them except around the house and I have no short sleeved shirts that cover my belly.

I'm actually wearing mostly non-maternity clothes these days. I have 2 maternity shirts I wear, a couple pairs of wide-leg sweatpants from old navy, and a trusty pair of yoga pants. Then I have a shirt-dress that isn't maternity, but does cover my belly. I can't stand pulling anything over my belly these days, so the maternity pants I had worked until about 7 months. I actually packed all my maternity clothes away last week, aside from things I'll wear post-partum.

It's been hot where I am and I've been wearing shorts. I try for capris or skirts if I'm going to be sitting in public though. My feet continue to impress people, but what are you going to do? I figure I'm pregnant and they can just deal. I inherited quite a few maternity clothes including shorts and the tent-like shirt I'm wearing today. I'm pretty sure I could be 9 months pregnant with quadruplets and still fit in this thing just fine. I actually find it more embarrassing than the shorts, but it's comfortable.

In other news, I have an appointment this afternoon to find out whether I'm leaking amniotic fluid of just leaking ... not sure what. I'm leaking something anyway. And it's pink. But it's not mucousy.

Good luck Quate.

Getting jittery for my apointement too now. I know it's silly.

Honestly, I do have one dress I could wear, but I don't really want too. Haven't waxed in 6 weeks, and there is more on my legs than I am comfortable going out in public with... And now, no way I can reach to do anything about it.

Still wondering how I will take my pee strip at the MW.

The only good thing about the hot weather we've all apparently been experiencing, as far as I can tell, is that it makes me very grateful that I'm due in May/early June and not in the middle or end of the summer... I feel lots of sympathy for the July, August, and September DDC mamas.

Good luck today, Quate--I've been having lots of clear discharge lately, which my midwife says is pretty normal, but means that if I were leaking a small amount of amniotic fluid (I don't think that's what this is), it'd be hard for me to tell I suspect.

CanBoo, I've given up on my legs; I can barely tie my own shoes, and since MN has lots of long pant weather, I just haven't cared. It's going to be such bliss to be able to bend over and actually reach my calves/feet again...

I also have a grand total of I think 3 maternity shirts and one of them is looking a little short lately. And it's HOT here today, and I am hot and thirsty no matter how much water I drink. Ugh. I hope my hospital has air conditioning, or I'm putting cold water in that birthing tub! Eek! But it sounds pretty good right now....

I've been shaving my legs once a week or so. Not too shabby. I'm wearing a knee-length skirt and a nursing tank that only covers my belly when I sit. I am the picture of class!

I feel better about ... things... this afternoon than I did this morning. Thanks for the thoughts. I think my DH has managed to put the crisis on hold long enough for us to have the baby and get settled with life again before the trouble comes around again.

I'm right there with all of you on clothes! Only my problem is that everything falls off the belly right now, so I'm constantly pulling up my pants! But right now I'm off to swim lessons with DD and I know my swimsuit doesn't fall off so I'll be okay for at least a half hour!!

We were just saying this earlier today when DH got home from work. I'm glad that I won't be pregnant through all the hot summer weather! I'd be miserable. Today is our first real hot day, and I'm all swollen and uncomfortable. I definitely sympathize for the real summer DDCs!

And regarding lots of clear discharge/fluid, I've had this too. I don't think it's amniotic fluid, and I just got checked a couple days ago by my mw (I assume she would have mentioned if she thought it was!). But it's definitely increased in the past two days, as well as more mucus stuff.

I was homicidal and suicidal when I had my baby in August.

This is how I feel now. I had no problems being pregnant with my August or September babies. Right now though - I could easily bite the head off the next person who ticks me off - child or not.

OH god, I would be too! I had a hard time today which really, was barely on the cusp of hot.

My nipples hurt. Maybe this means something?

Heh - I have a giant 3 year old regularly chomping on them, but no more than normal.
It actually looks like I have the beginnings of milk blisters (colostrum blisters?), which I struggled ALOT with with DS. Must start taking the lecithin again STAT!
DS2 has been attached at the nipple today. Not sure what's up with him except that I think he's teething a molar. He's been chomping on me today too with teeth, which sucks at the best of times.
Milk blisters are no fun.. Do you use liquid lecithin? The only one I have access to is in granule form and from soy (which I can't use). I've heard there's one from sunflowers... I should search for it online.
Sorry. Totally rambling.
From sunflowers? I though lecithin was from bug skins. Am I making that up in my head? Quite possible.
Anyway, what I have is capsules (liquid inside). I just checked my bottle - I have one left. Off to the drugstore!

You know - I jokingly posted a couple of weeks ago that I had two hundred posts to reach 10,000, and that I should have my 10,000th post be a baby announcement. It was all supposed to be funny because there would be NO WAY I could get even close to that! Now I have less than 100. It's not as funny anymore! *sigh* Come on baby!
