I lived there for a short while, a few months maybe. My aunt and uncle have lived there for about 11 years.

I can't tell you about the "crunch factor" because I was only pregnant with my first child at the time and never really met anyone.

It's 4th biggest town the the state. There is a Tech school there. Pretty hard to find a job there, especially right now if you are a welder! There are plenty of healthcare jobs though. There are several nursing homes, a hospital, a travel nursing agency, etc.

Sorry I can't be of more help!

My dh already has a job there. That's what's taking us there. Now we need a place to live.

I don't live there, but I know that one of the doctors at the hospital does let you deliver naturally. I'm not sure what his name is. There is a natural health food store in uptown Watertown. Not sure of the name though. Over all the ppl in SD LOVE there doctors and take them at there word. They are not very supportive of home births.

I saw Dr Benson as my OB, and he was VERY nice. I don't know how he is with deliveries, I moved away when I was 20 weeks, and we never did get to the point of discussing the birth. But he is a VERY nice man and I highly recommend him if you are in need of an OB
