Pharmacy to get Daptacel from?

The pharmacy we were going to get Daptacel from (Professional Pharmacy in CT) doesn't have it in & doesn't have an ETA. Anyone know where I can order it from & have it shipped to me? We need it ASAP... Thanks if you can help!

Wow this is an old thread! LOL!!

We did get it, from RiteAid believe it or not. Stop & Shop also carried it but required a 10-dose order, RiteAid let us get just a single dose (with a prescription from our doc).

Wow, Rite Aid, no kidding!  We've tried them, Walgreens and CVS, in VT and NH, but I'll just try a different Rite Aid branch, thanks!

How come your doctor cannot order it into his/her practice? We had no troubles with that, and we're like in pampa land...

All vaccines come from the Department of Health in VT, so there is no choice as to the brand. 

She said she would write us a prescription for Daptacel if we could find a pharmacy that would fill it - and we just did!  A Rite Aid in a different town said they would order us individual doses with a prescription!

Wow, I didn't know that (about them coming form dept of health in vt).  I live in VT and my dr. always offers us a choice on whatever brand we want for whatever vaxes.  Guess that's why i'm so lucky! lol

Hi.  Adrienne-can you tell me which Rite Aid you were able to get it from?  hollytheteacher-do you mind sharing who your pediatrician is?  I'm about to start vaccines for my son and am discovering these obstacles.

I found out that Walgreens (specifically the one in West Lebanon, NH) will supply me with a single dose of the Daptacel vaccine with a doctor's script.  It took a bit of searching, but I found it!  It's tough in a state like VT where the health department supplies all the vaccines for docs.

That's great that you found a Walgreens that will do it for you, congrats!  Sorry I didn't respond to your first comment, I didn't get an email or anything telling me there was an update and I'm still new to this whole forum/thread  thing ;)  The Rite-Aid that said they could get it for us was in St. Johnsbury, but then when we went to go pick it up they said there was a mistake and they couldn't get it after all.  In the end our doctor's office was able to order it through the hospital pharmacy at NVRH, but they made a really big deal about it.  They said they don't want parents getting whatever vaccines they want for their kids cause then they would be ordering things all the time...I held back from saying that I'm sorry my child's health was an inconvenience to them and just thanked them for ordering it, although we did have to buy a whole case of them, not the individual dose.  I wonder what they're going to do with the rest of the doses that we paid for...hummm.  I don't know when they expire but if you like I can find out if there are any left in the case we bought and maybe you can have it?  Although I think it would have to be administered through our pediatrician's office, so it may not be that convenient after all.
