Logging off while typing

I hope someone can help. Many times when I am typing something to post I ended up losing everything because once I click on POST a mesage comes up saying I am not logged on even though I was logged on when I started typing. Why is this happening? Thanks.

Still logging off

I'm very frustrated. I write posts and then try to post them only to be told I am no longer logged in. Then I try logging in and my post is gone. If I can't solve this problem I won't be able to visit this board anymore which will bother me because I do enjoy this forum very much. Any ideas???

Also, when I try to use a smiley face or something just the word "smiley face" apears. Why is that happening?

Did you clear out all of your cache, history and temp files from your browser?

Are you logged in to both versions of MDC? (both http://mothering.com/dicussions ~and~ http://www.mothering.com/discussions) If no, you need to.

I'll have to ask dh about clearing out cashe, history and temp files. I'm not very savvy when it comes to these things.

I didn't realize there were two versions. I'll see if I can figure out how to log into both. That sounds so odd to me.

Just click the links and it'll ask you to log in if you need to. They both go to the same place, but sometimes browsers make you log in to each one. It IS weird!

Clearing out your cache, etc. is probably what will fix it for you. Smilies not showing is usually a sign that your cache for MDC (what your computer uses to remember what's here) is full.

I was recently having troubles with being logged out all the time too. I think something may have reset on my computer. Yay for staying logged in all the time now!
