Proper use of Steriod Cream for people who actually need it

Since we see it prescribe to early to kids early on at a age with improper instructions by doctors saying retract the foreskin that is supposedly tight that can lead to ripping at the underside and apply the steriod cream under the foreskin which means the shaft -they say that to parents of young kids so who believe also that they give this same instruction to older kids and adults with actual trouble with tightness with their foreskin .

So I'm going thinking those instructions don't sound right to me so I went searching on how do you use steriod cream for a tight foreskin .

What I came up with is They say apply it to the Foreskin which means the outside part of the foreskin to 'soften it up so it can retract easier and then the older kids/adults would have to do stretching because a steriod cream will do nothing without stretching done by the person who is using it but other than that there are quite wrong instructions laying around the website also using stretch the prepuptial opening and put the steriod cream there inside and that's wrong.

Mostly what i saw on one msg board that was in the 2005 area -he was mentioning how he used 0.5% cream and totally lathered his whole foreskin around and said you have to stretch (incorrect words first time)the foreskin otherwise it won't do any good if you don't stretch it.

here's a website also from australia : not sure what to think wanted to see what you all think because they add info about balloon, callipher so I wonder if australia suggest some stretching thing to aid in phimosis of true phimosis would devices that some circ'ed men use actually help true phimosis in intact males ?

My experience is that you only need to put the cream on the tip and front portion of the foreskin (not inside). Apply at least 3 times a day. After a few days a man can try to do some stretching. He should notice a big change in the elasiticity. The cream I have experience with is .5% or maybe .05%. I will have to double check that dosage. Some men can become retractable with only daily stretching in a warm shower. If that is uncomfortable or doesn't show progress I'd then use the steroid cream. Obviously no steroidal creams until after puberty to give the hormones time to do the work.

A guy I know was recently prescribed betamethasone but warned by the dr that it breaks down the skin. If this is true, does the skin stay thin or build back up?
