Those with babe in arms already, clothing size questions!

Just curious about our babes.

What does your babe weigh right now and what size are they wearing?

G was about 6 1/2lbs when we left the hospital. He fits perfectly in preemie clothing. True preemie clothing. I have a bunch of Gymboree and Baby Gap preemie and up to 7lbs clothing for him and almost all of it swims on him right now. And hats? I have one preemie hat small enough to fit him. The rest could double around his head, at least.

Not sure what weight he is right now. My milk came in yesterday and he's been even more of a piggie since then.

Laine is still in the 7lb. range and wearing preemie clothing, her big noggin is in 0-3 month hats. My milk is in now so she'll probably move into newborn stuff soon. I can't wait for her to start chunking up so she can wear all this cute girly clothing

Emma hit 9 lb 13 oz now, 22 inches, and the Newborn size is starting to get a bit snug, I think, but still fits. Mostly it's just not long enough, she's kind of long in the torso.

Samara is 7 lbs 14 oz as of 2 days ago and the newborn stuff is big but I didn't buy any preemie stuff so she is kind of just swimming a bit. The cloth diapers help bulk up her butt at least so that helps!

Adelaide is in some 0-3 clothing, but not for long. She is in a lot of 3-6 bmo stuff. NB stuff never fits my babies.

I thought this thread was going to be about mama clothing size, like getting into pre pregnancy clothes, lol

10lbs even today. 6 days and already back to 2oz below birth weight. Newborn clothes fit perfect. I bought *one* preemie outfit way early in pregnancy, because Allie could fit into them for a week or two and she was almost 9lbs. I tried the shirt on and it was so short on him! Hilarious. There's one gymboree outfit that says up to 7lbs on the tag that fits alright. Actually, he was wearing it earlier today and it kinda seemed like the arms were a little short.. but it has kangaroos on it so its staying in rotation as long as possible!

The newborn stuff we have fits his body perfect but holy crap is it hard to get over his noggin. The 0-3 month stuff is so much easier to get on him but then he's swimming in the body of it.

Eli was 10# 3 oz yesterday, and he has totally outgrown all his newborn stuff. For most things he's in 0-3, but for the Gerber brand onesies I'm already needing 3-6 mos, and even that size is tight. : He does have a super fat belly though.

we went ahead and broke out the 3-6 month last night-- at only 5 weeks! but she's such a long torso, it was hard to snap the onesies, esp. with the cloth diapers. these are so much easier to put on and take off.

At one week Violet was already .5 lb more than her birth weight, so 9.5 lbs. She is in the 3 mo size clothes. Newborn stuff is too short for her torso and legs, she was long to begin with. We didn't buy any clothes for her before she was born, MIL went crazy last week and bought her 3 mo sizes and I told my Mom to get the 6 mo size, she'll probably hit that in 5-6 weeks.

River was 6lbs at birth, 5lbs 9ounces 3 days later, and as of yesterday morning is 6lbs 1/10th of an ounce, so he's gaining, but very slowly, it took him 20 days to get back to birthweight.

Anyway, he's still in preemie, even up to 7lbs and 5-8lb newborn sizes aren't even close to fitting yet, not sure when they will!

Travis was 6lbs 14oz at birth and got as low at 6lbs 6ounces and wore preemie for about 3 weeks, then newborn for about 2 months, he then wore 0-3 till he was a 11 months old, he'll be 2 in august and is in 6-9/6-12 now.

Kincaid was 7lbs 7ounces, got as low as 6lbs 12oz, he wore preemie home from the hospital, newborn for maybe 3 days, 0-3 for about 2 weeks...he was in 6-12 by 3 months old, but then he stayed in that size till he was 14 months old. He just turned 5 in March and is in 5 tops and 4slim bottoms.

Janelle was 5lbs 9ounces, got as low as 4lbs 8ounces, wore preemie for about 3 weeks, newborn for about 3 weeks, 0-3 till she was 7 months old, 3-6 until 14 months old, etc...she'll be 7 in September and is in 5t/5/5slim with some 4t/4 still fitting and some 6slim shorts fitting, just being really long.

So River really didn't have much chance of growing quickly, Kincaid is my BIG kid, and he's in the 25th%.

Huh, I've always thought gerber onesies ran huge (though not as huge as carters) even though he's in 6-12 month clothes Travis can still easily wear 0-3 month onesies in any brand, but all my kids are skinny, so that may be why.
