I love stones and beads.

I find I tend to go with what feels right for me, instead of tradition although there is over lap.

I have a few rosary/malas that I have strung myself for different occasions.

And stones, especially found stones, are usually part of my altars.

and since someone here mentioned about long hair and metal necklace clasps (to which I thought "that never happens to me")... my (long) hair is now getting caught in my necklace clasps, whether I wear it up or down.

yeah, but be careful at BHG.com - I find myself sinking too much work time poking around and grabbing craft ideas.

Unrelated to this post, fitting better under winter solstice activities - take a look at their snowflake ideas! Gem/bead-studded candles, snowflake ornaments of all kinds (using sticks or ornament balls or wool/felt), snowflake cards, stockings (if you do that), snowflake cookies and so on.

I have easily stumbled on 3-4 years of craft projects (on top of the ones I already have floating in my brain) - I don't even want to think about how much it would cost to make them all

i have that problem with hair too, which is why i stick to string, though it gets caught in that as well, it's a HECK of a lot less painful.
