Lortab/Vicodin?

I am almost healed from the mastitis I had over the weekend and I am 99.9%positive that I have yeast in my milk ducts. it is EXTREMELY painful to nurse. I am hoping my dr will write me a script for some mega doses of diflucan as well as something for the pain. Advil is a complete joke at this point.

Are these drugs safe to take while nursing? If so, what is the dose?

Vicodin/Lortab is fine to take.

With my first ds I was prescribed lortab for pain associated with my fourth degree tear postpartem, and they knew I planned on breastfeeding. I had trouble getting him to stay awake and with latching on but that could just be from inexperience as he was my first. If breastfeeding is well established, I doubt it would be a problem at all, but they always say to check with the pediatrician first with anything from herbs to meds. My pedi office is really good about that.
